RF Test Labs employs novel, patent pending technology developed at NYU to enable faster, less expensive, and more reliable testing of Radio Frequency (RF) emitting devices such as cell phones, laptops, tablets, etc.

In order to meet Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and other international standards, billions of dollars are spent annually measuring the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), a measure of RF energy absorbed in biological tissue. Current technology requires, on average, 20 to 40 days to test a single device whereas RF Test Labs’ technology allows for up to 20 times faster testing in ~1-3 days. Speed of testing is critical for accelerating product development cycles and lowering production cost.

RF Test Labs serves manufacturers of wireless devices that require SAR testing (i.e. cell phones, Bluetooth, laptops, tablets, etc.). In 2010, more than ~27% of electronic devices (4633 devices) approved by the FCC needed SAR testing.

Pricing for RF Test Labs' services are in-line with current SAR test pricing. RF Test Labs provides manufacturers with enhanced testing in less time vs. the current standard, and therefore, is an attractive and compelling value proposition that will be enthusiastically adopted.
